...wtf is going on here anymore.

I know that I haven't been a relevant part of the community here for some time - And after reducing the 10 hours I spent at this site a day (on average) when I was active, to less than 1hr a week in the past year(s) - I have no idea what's going on, what's been going on or what the future of deviantART is. I looked through the news, the about page, some staff members journals, the front page (lol) and I'm still lost. I thought about sending a media inquiry letter to dA HQ to find out what this place stands for anymore, but I found a better use for my only stamp.

Someone ease my curiosity, someone clue me in. What's this place all about now? Who else is in the mood for an up-to-date mission statement? I am! Do you think they'd let me write it? :)

PS: There's something going on 06/22 apparently. I guess it's a secret, or a game, or a puzzle. Honestly, I'm a bit over the puzzles and surprises. The excitement of dAv5 pretty much ruined that notion for me. So tell me, what are you looking forward to on 06/22?

UPDATE: Props to Jier for always being on point. He noticed that for deviantART, inc. - some congratulations may be in order: deviantART raises $3.5M in Series A funding. That's a good start. But, to my dismay, their donor is DiVX, Inc.. Video uploads in the future? And the YouTubification of deviantART.com as we know it?

I'm hoping this whole 06/22 thing will FINALLY include the full v5 layout. It shouldn't be called v5.5 because that's not what it is. This site is currently still at 4.5, not 5.0...so 06/22, if anything, needs to be the final v5 release. As I told Fiona though, I'm estimating that we'll miss the deadline again, and 06/22 will become 07/03...ish.

Not so much ditched as I totaled it, but I feel ya. I miss my Z everyday, but I love the Scion tC. It's a respectable car. My payments are low and I can go fast if need be, looks good too (i get more compliments on this car than I ever did in my Z).
