This is a favorite shot of mine, simply because it's not very frilly, gritty, urban and expresses (through my eyes) what I love about living in Philadelphia. Some people might look at this shot and just see chaos, but I see art in the form of life. To me, life is an art form and I love to capture it any chance I get.
This shot was taken through the glass window of a moving elevator at about 09:30AM EST. The location is Locust & South Broad Street in South Philly - Philadelphia, PA.
Photo taken with my Canon PowerShot :: DIGITAL ELPH S110.
Post production work includes:
1.) Added a custom border scheme to the photo.
2.) Titling/tagging the photo
This is the type of shot i really love, urban, gritty, and REAL.
People try to refine artwork to an unrealistic image of the world which they 'wish' was real, but shots like this, and other cityscape/messy/urban work shows the real humanity of the world.
great pieace altogeather. I like the how you've done it, strange efect all togeather though, but thats what i like i guess. What shutter speed is it? Its a cool composition, I like the angle you've gone for down the alley, works really well.
To be honest I like it but I think it needs abit more depth, maybe cropping the sides slighty to make it narrower wold work. have another look at it i tihnk, its a realy nice shot of the verge of looking awesome
great shot, looks very chaotic the only thing bothering me is the reflection, but i guess you cant help that. to me it has a placid kind of mood, the feeling of 'just another day', kind of thing.
I like the perspective, the trucks crowded below, and the reflections, although on the other hand they kind of are in the way of the view. But this is great. Love the sense of...business, I guess.
